We know that all law enforcement agencies must have a preparedness strategy in place should a riot occur. Unfortunately, civil unrest seemed to be at a peak in 2020 and many agencies were called into action. Whether it was an officer-involved shooting, presidential election, civil rights protests, or even the losing of a sporting event, it is law enforcement’s training and their specialized equipment to help respond and restore our communities and provide officer safety.

In addition, OC or pepper spray was dispensed resulting in innocent bystanders including fellow officers and press being caught in the crossfire.
